Darrin Williams

Darrin has over 25 years of experience in banking working with transformation, risk, advanced analytics, AI and data. Most recently Darrin led Accenture’s North American Applied Intelligence group for the banking sector responsible for the AI strategy and market focus leveraging the ecosystem of assets.  He led the strategic and technical development of key assets supporting market plays including data powered banking, AI scaling in the cloud, and AI model risk management. Prior to Accenture, Darrin was a partner at EY where he led the development of the AI capabilities for financial services from the ground floor inception to its current state as a large book of business. He also was a leader of 150 quantitative professionals focused on stress testing and capital related analytics, model risk management, and technical validation.  As part of this group, he was responsible for building the team’s strategic direction, developing go-to-market capabilities, and expanding client relationships across a diverse set of financial institutions. Darrin also has extensive industry experience with HSBC where he was the head of the Model Risk Management unit responsible for conducting independent validations of models developed across North America. He successfully developed this independent validation framework starting from its initial, conceptual stages to its full integration into the risk management culture.
